GREEN COATING
SEMINAR
The Institute of
Materials, Malaysia (IMM), in association with the Institute of Materials,
Minerals and Mining (IOM³) Malaysian Branch, will Jbe organizing the 1-day
Seminar on Green Coatings on Thursday 12th November 2009 at
University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus (UNMC) in Chulan Tower, Jalan Conlay,
Kuala Lumpur.
The
objective of the seminar is to highlight critical environmental concerns amongst
the industry in coatings to create awareness of our responsibility and remind
industrialists, professionals and users of coatings (paints and the like) of the
growing and urgent concerns of the impact of coatings on the environment and
importance of clean, green and healthy environment in Malaysia. As concerns on
the environment continue to grow, there is an urgent need to look into the
processes, materials and technology used in the manufacture, distribution and
use of products that have a major impact on our daily lives. What are the
possibilities of utilizing new manufacturing processes, materials and technology
to reduce harmful chemicals, wastage of natural resources and
materials.
