Prof Asami Nakai
Prof Asami Nakai is an
Associate Professor in the Kyoto Institute of Technology specialising in
researching Textile Composites/Structures since November 2006. A multiple award
winner, she was recently awarded
the Hayashi Award by the Japan Society of Composite Materials.
Abstract
The
braided fabrics have been expected to be an excellent preforms for the
reinforcements of composite materials. In this seminar, the benefit of braiding
technology for the reinforcements was highlighted. Moreover, the application in
the light of recent research was introduced. Finally, pultrusion system as a
continuous production system for braided fabric reinforced composite was
proposed.
